 Colourwavegraphics is the new e-commerce trading arm of Plymouth based Bretonside Copy which has been producing superb Fine Art Printing for the South West region for a number of years. Printing under controlled conditions and using only acid free and lignun free papers and canvases from renowned suppliers such as Hahnemuhle, Innova and Magiclee has enabled us to develop our customer base, and we are locally known as a printer of high repute.
Prints are digitally printed on either of two superb graphic art ink jet print machines.
The Epson Sytus Pro 9880 (max. print width 44") satisfies the demands of the highest quality Photographic and Fine Art Reproduction requirement, providing a breakthrough in professional imaging quality.
Using only Epson's original UltraChrome K3 inks with Vivid Magenta, delivers stunning, photo-realistic image quality at up to 2,880 x 1,440 dpi. The 8-colour ink-set has the widest possible colour gamut for a fantastic range of expression, producing subtle shadows and highlights even when printing in black and white. Original art images are reproduced with amazing detail, smoothness and definition achieving a faithfulness and consistency that is unsurpassed.
The Canon imagePROGRAF iPF9000 (max. print width 60"), takes the production of giclee digital ink jet printing to the next level. The iPF9000 incorporates a 12-color pigment ink system using Canon's original LUCIA™ printing inks, with print resolutions (Up to) 2,400 x 1,200 dpi (Max) possible.
For Canvas prints, we use Magiclee's Torino Canvas. At 375gsm this canvas provides a near matte canvas surface that faithfully follows the subtle nuances of original art or photography. For added protection we can provide a liquid lamination to the surface of the printed canvas which will also provide extended light fastness to your canvas prints. Please phone for details.
For semi gloss or high gloss fine quality photographic prints we normally use our Canon iPF9000 whereas fine art original Giclee's requiring a matte finish are usually produced on our Epson 9880.
Your Guarantee
All of our Fine Art and Photographic Prints are produced in accordance with the Fine Art Trade Guild's Print Standards, with the exception that we do not submit our prints for annual inspection by an independent laboratory. This is because we believe that the cost of independently testing all of the paper/canvas and printer combinations that we offer would add significantly to the finished print price. Unfortunately, this means that we are not permitted by the Fine Art Trade Guild to add their logo verifying that the print is produced to their exacting standards. However, we are committed to the Guild's standards in every other respect.
